4.7.10

Last week we all headed to California to watch Chloe compete in the National Cheerleading Competition. Her team competed Saturday night and did so well that they performed again the next day in the Final Competition. The team did awesome and Chloe stuck every one of her stunts perfectly. They got 2nd place which is a huge accomplishment when you compete against so many hard teams like they did. This is her in her heel stretch.
...
It was so fun to watch her compete all weekend. We were all so proud of her.
Grant and I changing Monet in the Convention Center. I can't tell you how many random places this baby got her diaper changed.
After the competition.
...
Meanwhile we spent three days at Disneyland. It was hot (loved every second of that), it was crowded (thank heavens for fast passes) and it was all about Monet (we were disappointed when she fell asleep every three hours)!
Monet loved Disneyland.
They waited in line.
While she walked around in the shade.
She went on a bunch of rides. I think the carousel was one of her favorites.
However nothing made her as excited or captivated than the Winnie the Pooh ride.
She watched the birds sing in the Tiki Room while she had a snack (love the crossed legs).
And danced her heart out at the Playhouse Disney show.
By the third night she was exhausted... but the vacation was only beginning!
We then drove to Ventura to Lindsay's beach house. It was so beautiful. The house was right on the water. The little town was so quaint and adorable. We ate really good food, went on a long bike ride and just relaxed.

Saturday we met Joyce in LA at the Getty Museum. She took us to a really nice lunch and showed us around the beautiful gardens.
Monet experiencing grass for the first time.
It was great to see Joyce and spend some time with her before we headed back to a cold, cold Utah.
We had such a wonderful vacation.
