Last Sunday we had a ski day dedicated to Karl. It was beautiful, warm, sunny, the snow was great... a day Karl would have loved. Afterwards we met everyone at the bottom parking lot for a Mexican fiesta. It was such a great day. We missed everyone who couldn't be there and we of course all missed grandpa like crazy.

Chloe's Cheer leading Competition.
...
Yesterday was Chloe's first competition as a Timpview cheerleader. We all came to support. Monet was fixated. I think we may have another future cheerleader. Front and center.
Chloe opens the routine with a basket toss (that's her high in the air) - she does two spins as she comes down. It was awesome. A lot of girls can't do that and she's only been a cheerleader for six months!
Here she is in another stunt (on the right bending down) she is one of the main flyer's.
The team did great.
I was proud.

These are all of the boy cheerleaders.
Her two best friends.
Chloe did awesome. She was so fun to watch.

Thanksgiving '09

Thanksgiving at the Rowans. Great day spent with the Eliasons, Cox's, Marconi's, Jeff & Shellie, Mom and Dad. Karl ate like a champion. Little Martha put out an incredible feast for all. Chloe awaiting the big bad birds

Went to Wolf Creek Pass for our annual tree cutting outing. Monet was ready for the cold.
Had to start it out with breakfast at Chicks

Annual Pheasant Hunt at Voo's farm. Very successful day. Fun was had by all including Scout and Sadie (maybe her last Thanksgiving).

Marconi and Lane packing birds (well, feathers)

Grant taking a rooster on film. What pressure!
Chloe with Sadie. Tired but happy.
Fantastic weekend was had by all.

Little Marthas Durango Birthday Fish Bash

Little Martha told me a long time ago she would like to go to Durango on a San Juan River fly fishing trip for her birthday ( or was it Italy?) Anyway, it doesn't matter. Since her birthdays are numbered, I decided to grant her wish. I contacted the Dude and told him what I needed. The Dude hooked us up with a private jet. (The Dude is connected! Thanks James!)
Heading to Durango. No bag check, no security lines, no boarding lines, no ignorant attendants, could carry on our handguns and assault weapons, could say "bomb" on the plane, all aisle/window seats and outstanding views.

Little Martha looking for the wine stash . Or is she hiding the wine stash?

Mr. & Mrs. Dude wondering where their wine stash went

Anticipating a great day on the mighty San Juan.

First catch of the day. One of many for LM.

One of the bigger fish of the day. She landed it like a pro.

Beautiful little Brown on a beautiful blue river.

Another nice Rainbow

Double Clutch (Miss Fancy Pants)searching for trout on the bank. She also had an excellent day on the river

Had to have one of my fish in here. Yes, Little Martha caught more fish than me.

Loading up in Durango heading back to SLC and reality. We really hate Delta now. Does this plane fly to Venice? Happy Birthday Rebecca!
