Happy Birthday sweet Monet

4.27.11

Easter Sunday we went down to the Plum Patch. It was Monet's first time there, and she really enjoyed it. We had a picnic, an Easter Egg hunt, a baseball game, and had time to catch up with family. The weather was cold and then warm. Thankfully no rain and no wind so it was very pleasant.

...

On the ride down we stopped to look at some of the cute baby lambs.
Monet loved Oil Can's Razor. She wouldn't get off of it. Everyone took turns giving her rides.

Monet saw Chloe eating a hard boiled egg, so she took every piece of shell off of this egg until she discovered it wasn't made of candy then she quickly moved on.

Chloe & Monet rolling eggs down the hill, trying to make them crack.

Monet was happy running all around. She would run, trip, get back up, keep running as far as she could. She reminded me of a little puppy.

Waiting patiently for the Easter egg hunt to begin.

She loved collecting all of the eggs.

Happy Easter!

4.18.11

Yesterday we had such a lovely Palm Sunday. After we attended church, mom and dad put on a delicious brunch (and then we all stayed for lunch.) Monet got to wear her Easter dress.
We set up a little Easter egg hunt for her in the back yard. She got the hang of it right away. She had a lot of fun finding the eggs.

And then she discovered they had candy in them.
We all sat in the backyard most of the afternoon, soaking up the sun. Monet spent all of her time playing with Sadie and Tinkerbell. Her favorite thing to do is to put food in their dishes. They must love when she comes over because they get lots of extra grub.

(goal for the rest of the year: start to take photos of other people other than just Monet (!))

Babysitting

We are the BEST babysitters ever:)

New York City

I went to New York with my Fashion Design class last week and we arrived there on Friday morning, and left Tuesday night. We got to meet with Designers, go to plays, visit Art Museums, and did tons of shopping:)

Central Park

Then we headed over to Ground Zero.

Advice: When you have a billion shopping bags, make sure you switch off shoulders so this never happens to you.

In the morning, we went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Designer, George Simonton talked to us about is coat company and how he got started. He was amazing!

Radio City.

Later that day, we went to the Empire State Building.

Then, we went back Time Square and went shopping!

On our last day of our trip, we got a little rain.

Before we left to the airport, we went to a meeting with a French women who makes and sells hats. She makes these hats for the Kentucky Derby. It was so much fun to hear how she got started in her business!

This trip was such an amazing experience! I loved every minute of it. (especially the shopping)
