Our trip to Vail.
...
Monet catching up on her favorite read on the drive over. Chloe trying to hook Riley up with the girl driving by us on the freeway.
Thursday night we ate dinner in the Vail Village at a fancy French restaurant.

Monet loved the dog playing catch on the lawn.
Eating dinner.
Thank you Buzz Lightyear for accompanying us at all our events.

Friday we went to Breckenridge, walked around, ate lunch. Monet was tired so Lindsay took her back to nap. The rest of us went on a hike to find the tree that pulverized the Wolf's right side.
...
We hiked and hiked and hiked. Couldn't find it, couldn't find. After three miles we decided to see if it would look different on the way down.

And it did, here it is, "the tree."
Larry reenacting his tumble down the ravine.
Thank you Riley for the memorial.
It was the perfect, sunny, warm, day to go on a hike. Friday night Monet came down with a nasty case of the stomach flu. So after being up all night with a sick baby Grant, Monet and I decided to stay close to home while everyone else went to the Leadville race.

A small part of the Robert clan.
Hiking the Power Lines.
Mom, Traci and Larry.

Mike coming up the Power Lines.

Mike got his 10th buckle this year, which is a huge accomplishment.
I guess it was the driest and warmest race day yet. Bummer for Wolf.
...
Saturday night Chloe, Grant and I all caught Monet's bug and were sick as dogs all day Sunday. Luckily everyone was there to take care of Monet.
Here is Riley in his "hot tub attire" reading People magazine to Monet on the deck.

...

We got home and the "Vail Virus" spread to Wyatt and then the next day to Riley. Not a fun way to ruin your vacation!

Nice post Hayley! Great pics. Great story. Hope you all are feeling better now! Can't believe you found the tree Wolf was intimate with. We just need the shot of his approach to it from around the bend. And the result of Leadville. Who won? How is Wolf's recovery going? On pace, I hope. Can't believe how cute Monet is! Thanks for sharing all this! We miss you all. . . .
