9.29.11

It's been a long, sad month, so going to Disneyland was the perfect decision. We had such a blast.

...

Grant was in charge of the planning, so as a little joke he had a limo pick us up from the airport.
When we were there last April, Monet was frightened of just about every ride, but this time she was so different. She loved everything, including Snow White and even the Haunted Mansion. She would always ask to go on it again, once we got off each ride. She was so adorable and so much fun.

We did all of the shows and parades, and almost all of the rides, some twice.

All of the Halloween decorations were fun.

Monet loved seeing all of the characters. She was hugging them and giving them high fives and bumps and talking to them.

Grandpa told Monet to pick out any dress she wanted at the Princess shop. so she chose to be Sleeping Beauty, crown, wand and all. It was funny because the lady working at the store said, "Oh, this dress gets returned all the time. The kids don't like the sleeves and the big collar. It's too much for them." I wanted to say, "You don't know who you're dealing with." We put it on her right outside the store and she has barely taken it off since.

Her two favorite rides were Winnie the Pooh, which nana took her on about 5 times. And also the new Little Mermaid ride. We stayed at the Grand California so when we would enter the park we were right next the the ride. And we went on it over and over and over and over. She loved it.

Wednesday morning before we left we went to the Story Tellers cafe for breakfast. Monet got to dance around the restaurant with animal characters.

Then we went back to the big Disney store to let Monet buy more toys. Then we lost track of time and rushed ourselves to the airport!

It was such a fun trip. Monet was as cute and sweet as can be, especially for how much we wore her out. She absolutely loved every minute of it. We all did.

What a perfect age for Monet to go to Disneyland! She is adorable in all those photos. It makes me wish Maddie was still that age :(

What a fun trip. Thanks for sharing. I wonder if I could buy a princess dress for Griffin? I miss those little girl things.
